My Scale Garage Privacy Policy

My Scale Garage is provided by Kenny's Custom Crap. This policy explains how the Android app handles your information.

Information used by the app

The app lets you enter build names, chassis details, notes, part names, part costs, and spare parts. This information is stored on your device. When you select a build photo using Android's file picker, the app reads that image to show it in your garage and retains access to the selected image for later display.

Sharing and collection

The app does not require an account, show ads, use analytics, or send your garage information or photos to Kenny's Custom Crap or other parties. It does not request location, contacts, or camera access.

Backups

You can export your garage to a ZIP file using Android's file picker. The file includes your build and spare parts data and any available build photos. You choose where to save or share it. Anyone you share the backup with can read its contents. Importing a backup replaces the garage currently on the device. The app does not upload the backup to Kenny's Custom Crap.

Storage, security, and deletion

Garage information is stored in the app's private storage on your device. Imported photos are copied into the app's private storage. You can delete builds and parts in the app. Clearing the app's storage or uninstalling it deletes its locally stored information, including imported photos. Deleting a build does not delete its original image from your phone's photo library. Android or your device backup service may separately back up app data according to your device settings. If you save an exported ZIP elsewhere, you are responsible for deleting that copy from its storage location.
